Content is the past, present, and future of marketing. Content is king, after all. Our world is a constant battle for attention.
Your business isn’t just vying for attention with your rivals, you’re competing with Facebook, Youtube, and texts from family members.
You can’t expect people to pay attention to your blog post, your social media, your mission, or your company without engaging, compelling content that drives people to act.
Content is the force that unifies your entire company, the narrative that every consumer engages with.
Consider this: Google now handles at least 2 trillion searches per year. That’s a lot of people looking for information about problems they’re trying to solve. The role search engines play in this transaction is to connect people with the most relevant and valuable content possible.
This is just one of the many cultural and technological shifts that has made content marketing central to the way that businesses grow, and how people navigate their careers.
Equipping you with the knowledge and best practices to plan and create effective content that gets found online will prepare you to enter the workforce with the confidence and skills needed to start a successful career in marketing.
Throughout the semester we split the strategy and execution of content marketing into three themes: • Content marketing frameworks • Content creation and promotion • Improving your content strategy
I've also planned to integrate the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification into this course.
